Isle of Dreams

I went to school with Michael O’Hara,… sang in choir with him. He is nothing like he was then, thank God! For that matter, neither am I! My journey to be in “Isle” would have God dealing with me on many issues,… mainly forgiveness. God gave me the gift of singing, and I used it to His glory, or so I thought. When Satan was allowed to break up the gospel group I was in after high school, the person at fault became my arch enemy. In short, I hated them, and I didn’t understand how wrong it was. I farmed it off as only my “righteous indignation”!

I continued to go to church, even sing for the Lord, and read my bible daily. What a sham! One night in my bathroom, the Lord spoke to me while I truly sought His presence. I asked for forgiveness, and to show me how to love that person again. He asked that I go to the very one who had broken up our group, repent, apologize, and ask for their forgiveness! I questioned the Lord if my apology would even be accepted? He informed me that it wasn’t important that they accept it or not. Rather, that I get it right with Him! I had to humble myself before Him and get it right in case I died on that night of nights.

After I obeyed the Lord, He began to open doors for me, to once again, use the talents He had given me. He sent Michael back into my life, and he offered me the role of “Elizabeth”, wouldn’t you know it? Like the rest of the cast members in “Isle”, Michael had me sing over the phone for Robert in Nashville, and that was that! I have been built in so many ways to be able to lift up the name of Jesus as “Elizabeth”. I can truly testify His goodness to me, and tell the world that through it all, we must praise Him!
