Isle of Dreams

Cast Testimony - Jeri Lynn Lewis - the role of 'Mary'

Jeri Lynn Lewis as 'The Woman at the Well'

My father was the pastor of a church. That made me a (P.K.), pastor’s kid! We were expected to be more perfect than any other children. I hated all the rules and regulations of our household, but loved my parents and siblings, of course. This led me to get married very early on in my life, and though God blessed me with two wonderful girls, my marriage was a mistake. A huge mistake! The thing that kept me going all those years was the gift of song. I loved to sing, and sang in the choir at my father’s church. My brother, Michael was the choir director! Throughout our lives together, we were always singing in some form or another, either in a band, or in church. It didn’t matter, as long as we were singing.

Though our father preached many sermons, I never paid much attention to them. We heard sermons everyday in our home, but I did enjoy the singing part. After my abusive marriage was over for many years, the Lord healed me enough to receive another man in my life, one who was saved, and would never abuse me, Roland Lewis. He happened to be the chairman of my father’s deacon’s board, and we grew up together. Our match-making mother put us together, and Michael helped. He also invited us to become a part of the cast of “Isle”. With Robert’s blessing, I have become an intrical part of the cast, and am deeply involved in the role of “The Woman at the Well”.

Like herself in the scriptures, I have come to know the Savior personally, to receive the gift of the “Holy Ghost and Fire”, and to have a personal relationship with Him. All this has happened as a result of my involvement in “Isle”, and I thank the Lord for allowing me to dream along with the rest of the world for a better place called Heaven in “The Isle of Dreams”!
