Cast Testimony - Sencerea Morris - the role of 'Mary Magdalene'

Sencerea Morris as 'Mary Magdalene'

My story begins with my mother receiving the baptism of “The Holy Ghost”. It frightened me to see her shouting and then falling on the floor in the spirit. Even though my grandfather, Bishop Leon P. O’Hara explained it to me, it would take another twenty one years before I allowed the same thing to happen to me. And by then, my uncle, Michael O’Hara, had already asked me to take over the role of “Mary Magdelene” which had been vacated by another actress. I had been singing privately for years, but secretly had yearned for a role in “Isle”. By the time the role had been vacated, my grandmother informed Michael that I could sing, and had been rehearsing all the female parts! After hearing me sing, he phoned Robert Johnson and told him that they needn’t look any further, that he had found “Mary Magdelene”,… again!

During one of the “consecration services” held in place of our regular rehearsal, I bowed my knees before the Lord, and felt a wind blowing around me, and it was as if someone had their arms around me. It filled the innermost parts of my being, and I knew that I had received “The Holy Ghost”! Since then, I have allowed the Lord to use me in this wonderful production, and I am happier than I have ever been in my life. I pray that God will always get the glory out of my life, and that souls can be saved through my portrayal of “Mary Magdelene”. After all, he forgave me. I know He will do the same for others.
