I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to musical parents that both sang in night clubs for years. At the age of (8), I started Polynesian lessons, and my parents took me to see “ The Laughing Kahunas”, and that was it! Mom took me to audition for them, and I ended up performing with them for three years. I think that’s when the real performing bug bit me, cause I’ve been performing ever since. My parents introduced me to church, even supplied me with a church bus to go every Sunday, but left it up to me whether I would get on the bus or not. I made the decision to be baptized and give my life to the Lord at the age of (7). However, between the ages of (8-18), these were tumultuous years for me, ending with rededication and re-baptism at the age of (18). I knew my first husband for (1) year, then was married for (5) years, then discovered he was bi-sexual! I stayed with him for another year trying desperately to help him through understanding, tolerance, and excepting the fact that he was this way because he had been molested as a child. He wasn’t exactly a great financial supporter either, (among other things), and I found myself performing as an exotic dancer behind his back to make ends meet! Can you imagine? Here he is physically abusing me, and is this bi-sexual guy that gets arrested at the very church where we got counseling, for breaking into women‘ houses and wearing their clothes, while I’m onstage with very little on to pay our bills! I divorced him, then proceeded to marry every women’s dream,….a control freak! Girls,….what can I say? He was a heavy drinker, drug addict, and cheated on me while we worked as performers at night clubs! When I finally divorced him, though I’ve had other bad relationships, so far, I’ve not made the mistake of marrying the wrong guy again, thank the Lord! What I have discovered and still struggle with today, and the tapes that still play in my mind and heart over the verbal abuse, which came from the enemy through my partners are...The common denominator of all my bad relationships is that they were all into weird sexual behavior, drinking, drugs. They didn't know who their biological fathers were, they didn't like their mothers, they were all molested as children, and they struggled to have a close relationship with God even though people around them showed them how to get to God...I tried to fix them and it began to destroy me…They resented me and even blamed me. Only God can heal the soul and only they must ask for that from God and begin their own relationship with him.
Oh, well,…now I have to face the fact that the mistakes of my youth and peer pressure have caught up with me, and I have been living with “hepatitis C” since I was infected at the age of (16)! Its insane that I even have to say this, but no one wants to talk about it, let alone think about it! Because of this crazy attitude, it is now an epidemic, which is why I’m coming out of the closet to expose it all. God blessed me once again the day Michael walked into the middle of the Branson Mall, and played and sang for all of us who worked at the Branson Showcase Theater. He further blessed me when Michael asked me to join “Isle of Dreams.” He had no idea that the role of “Mary Magdeline” was the most meaningful role he could have offered me, as it reflected so much of my life, and the power of Christ to forgive us all of sin!
