Cast Testimony - Tony Morris - the role of 'Satan'

Tony Morris as 'Satan'

In 1992, I was twenty years of age when my first experience of salvation took place. The pastor was preaching on “Starting New”, and a “bone chilling” experience took over my being. By then, I had sired my first child at the age of nineteen. Unmarried, and unwanted, I had given into peer pressure and joined a gang. So, this experience with the Lord made me see how He was sifting unsavory people from my life to protect me from myself.

Through the blessing of the Lord bringing the lady that would become my wife, Sencerea Morris, who was the niece of Michael O’Hara, I joined his father’s church. I had no idea at the time how much he would play a vital role in my life. For the time being, his father nurtured me in the true ways of holiness, and when the Lord was ready to use me, He presented an opportunity for me to use the gift of singing He had planted in me so long ago.

I was aware of the losses of key cast members of “Isle”, and when the role of “Satan” became available, it was Michael who heard something vocally in me that he felt would be perfect for me to play it, and he had me sing over the phone for Robert! It wasn’t exactly the role I would have wanted, but I wasn’t going to argue. I would be getting a chance just to be in it. Now I know why God has given me this role. As a former gang member, and a saved vessel of the “Most High God”, I know the ways of “Satan” all too well, and I can show him up for the viper he truly is. That alone is worth going before the world as the “Prince of Darkness”, don’t you think?
